Dear Editor
My name is Jada
Randall. I am a sophomore at Early College High School in Conway.
I am writing to
propose a possible solution to one of the many factors contributing to the
United States’ very extended Economic Recession. Government assistance was
created in order to help the poor, elderly, special cases and veterans. If this
is it’s original purpose then why is it so much harder for the elderly to get
food stamps and welfare benefits than the single mothers continuous producing
children.
The lifestyle
most single mothers live with bunches of children is not safe or healthy. Most
public housing assistance residences are in the more poverty stricken areas. The
needed amount of attention needed to provide to these children is most likely
not given to them. This is a problem, maybe the doing the opposite is the
solution. Stop easily giving out
assistance to single mothers!
Sincerely
Jada Randall

She Created Me
I wish I could say my life was a bad dream
A replica of my mother
Good to you it may seem
Conceived in high school
I am a Soccastee baby
I don’t appreciate my father
And why should I bother
I am who he hates
A nightmare, His bad dream
I am a replica of my mother
Asking why, Just why me
I am a participant in incest
I am a victim of rape
No voice, no way to escape
Hay NO amor para me
Only one on my team
I am a replica of my mother
9 months has bought change
My father for a son, an exchange
Yet still no brightness in my day
Walfare money makes it okay
A non-exenstant level of self-esteem
I am a replica of my mother
I am my mother’s protégé
I guess that will make me a nothing
To this world i am nobody
Other than another project baby
7 kids and 10 years go by
Why can’t I leave you behind
I am you because you are me
I am a replica of my mother
Because she created me

Should Women That Have More Than 2 Children & Are Receiving
Government Assistance, Be Infertilitized
American citizen work hard for every
dollar earned! The fact that a percentage of dollars goes to taxes is not the
problem. The problem is that some people are using the system. Public housing,
welfare, & food stamps are supposed to be help for less pillaged. Not at
all women that are repeatedly having children & barley keeping a stable
job, if one at all. People who commit this “crime” should be punished by having
to take away their chances of fertility. While you can’t stop women from
already collecting assistance to take care of their children, this option will
eliminate the woman’s chance of reproduction.
Single mothers receiving government
assistance declined from 42% in 1996 to 29%, then in 2001 it started to rise
again and by 2004 it increased to 42%, as said by the last census. (7
Facts About Government Benefits and Who Gets Them) Now.
as of 2013, a benefits check showed that more than 61% present of women receive
Government assistance. Of those 61% of women, 57% of them were single mothers
who were receiving food stamps, welfare, housing assistance, WIC, or general
assistance. (Participation of Mothers in Government Assistance Programs:
2004) With that also being said the amount of money you are entitled to
depends on the income and amount of children.
Doing the math is not hard, a single mother, 5 children under the
age of 18 and a minimum wage job. This is one of a few true solution to many
economic, health and safety problems. The government and economics is far less
important than the safety and health of the children born in to this type of
lifestyle. Infertilizing is not very hard and cases like these not at all
costly. The United States declining economy and the safety of the children born
in these cases is the main reason why I choose to do this particular topic.
